Hi @EmmanuelDanan,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The changing color of the icon with a paper symbol on your HP 6000 series printer could indicate various issues. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.

Check Printer Status:

  • Make sure there are no error messages or warnings on the printer display or in the printer software on your computer.

Check Paper and Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure there is paper loaded in the tray and that it is not jammed.
  • Check the ink or toner cartridges. Make sure they are installed correctly and have sufficient ink or toner. If necessary, replace them with new ones.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open all the accessible areas of the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions. Clear any jams you find.

Printer Connectivity:

  • Verify that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. Check all cables and connections.
  • If you are using a wireless connection, ensure that the printer is connected to the correct network.

Restart Printer and Computer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Restart your computer as well.

Run Printer Diagnostics:

  • Many HP printers have built-in diagnostic tools. Access these through the printer's control panel or the HP printer software on your computer.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.

Reset Printer:

  • If the above steps do not resolve the issue, try resetting the printer to its factory settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
