Good morning community!
I know I'm probably not alone in this: my HP OfficeJet 6950 has seen its cartridges replaced a couple of days ago, with some compatible, non-HP ones from a brand I used for years AND were ordered in the same batches as the previous working ones, a couple of months ago.
The new ones are now unusable because of the infamous "non HP chip detected". I have no Windows/Mac machine available for downgrading the firmware and I don't feel this would be a clean solution, since I bought a product and I'd like to have it supported. Has anyone a solution or workaround to this problem?
Thanks in advance!
Bonus: my sister's gonna get married tomorrow and this thing really spiced up this week where I had loved to do a lot of other thing for preparing the event, instead of fighting a printer for a """security""" check that the entire community dislikes since like forever, so thanks HP for this wonderful gift.
Economics bonus: a new printer costs right now way less than the replacement cartridges, so I guess this may not be the best strategic move from a market view, but you're a billion dollar company and I'm not so whatever
