The color of my print copies has been weird for a while, but I only realized recently that it is the same problem others on this forum have had: It is apparently not using any blue ink. Any blue text turns out pink. This happens when I make a copy as well as when I print a document.
Following instructions here, I have:
- Cleaned the ink cartridge contacts
- Replaced all the ink cartridges, even though they were not empty.
- Cleaned the printheads -- all 3 levels, twice
- Performed a hard reset. Twice.
- Tried this link, which doesn't work: HP OfficeJet Pro 6900 Printers - Fixing Poor Print Quality
- Printed out many, many Printer Status Reports and Printer Quality Diagnostic Pages after each step. There is not a hint of blue ink on any of them.
- I think I even updated some firmware! My printer says all its software is up-to-date.
I am at my wits' end. Help!

Update: I just spent 40 minutes on the phone with HP Support. The agent went through all the steps I had already performed and told me that I needed a new printer. Apparently that is what "hardware issue" means.
