HP 6968 keeps going offline - can't print via wifi until turning off and on again. I found a few posts with this problem, but could not reply because the posts were old and closed. Anyway, none of the suggestions worked. However, I was trying to fix an issue with print quality and in the process I performed a device reset. It did not fix my print quality problem, but ever since the reset my printer now stays online and I am able to print over the wireless network.  It has worked for a few days so far, whereas before it would go 'offline' after about 30 minutes regardless of any settings that I tried. None of the previous suggestions mentioned a device reset so I thought I should post this.

To reset:   while the printer is turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer, then unplug the power cord from the wall. Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back into the wall outlet. Then plug the power cord back into the printer. The printer should come on by itself, if not just hit the power button. This may fix the problem of the printer not being found on the wireless network. You may have to wait a while to verify the solution.

Good luck.
