HP Printer 7740

It has to be Mercury Retrograde! LOL

This week my printer has started printing 40 - 50 pages at a time, in addition it only prints about 1/8 of the text on each page.

I've gone in and uninstalled and re installed and now not printing. Telling me it's missing drives 🤪

I've unplugged from wall. Defiantly not the norm. I'm ready to pitch it. Out of warranty window I think.

Things are a lot different on the HP support page when it comes to downloading drivers etc... I think I've missed some or downloaded something I shouldn't have. Now it won't print, shows the wireless connected. Not sure where to go from here. Any help is appreciate.

Down here in Texas.....

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I have gone through your Post and I would like to help

I suggest you uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the full feature software. Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-pro-7740-wide-format-all-in-one-printe...
