HP 7740 Wide Format
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just yesterday my HP 7740 Wide Format printer got stuck Checking For Updates/Update Unsuccessful. The screen freezes and it appears I cannot do anything afterwards. I've tried unplugging it from all connections and hold in the power button to discharge it. No luck. Is there any way to Cold Reset this printer without a working touchscreen? Thank you for your time and talents.

Unfortunately, the reset cannot be performed if the screen is not responding or the printer is stuck on an error. This seems like a hardware issue with the printer as you have already tried a hard reset.

 

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
