Product: HP Envy Photo 7858

I want to use my Epson photo paper in my HP Envy 7858 photo printer. It is returning an “empty photo tray” error. HP photo paper works fine. 
I will buy HP paper going forward, but do not want to waste the Epson paper I already have. 
Is their a way to do this? Does HP printers only accept HP paper?

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

 

Since the HP Photo Papers work fine, it must be an incompatibility issue due to difference in the  paper thickness & weight of the Epson Photo Papers

 

Unfortunately you might not be able to use it in this printer
