Hi @Beverly55
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It can be frustrating when your HP 8010e prints blank pages even though the ink cartridges are nearly full. This kind of issue often relates to clogged printheads, incorrect settings, or connection issues. Here are a few steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
1. Check Ink Cartridges and Reinstall Them
Even though the cartridges are full, it’s always worth checking if they’re installed correctly.
- Remove the ink cartridges carefully and reinstall them to ensure they’re seated properly.
- Check for protective tape: If you recently installed new cartridges, double-check that any protective tape or plastic covers have been removed from the cartridge nozzles.
2. Check Ink Levels
Sometimes the printer software can show ink levels inaccurately. It's a good idea to check the actual ink levels through the printer or the HP Smart app to confirm there’s no issue with the detection.
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device to check the ink levels.
- If the levels show as full and the cartridges are properly installed, proceed to the next step.
3. Run Printer Maintenance (Clean Printheads)
One of the most common reasons for blank pages is clogged printheads. The good news is that most HP printers offer cleaning options for this.
- From the Printer Control Panel:
- Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance or Tools (this can vary by model).
- Select Clean Printhead.
- If your printer offers multiple cleaning options, try Deep Cleaning if regular cleaning doesn't solve the issue.
- Using HP Smart App:
You can also run the cleaning process through the HP Smart app if it’s installed on your device.
4. Perform a Printer Reset
A simple power cycle might reset the printer’s internal processes, potentially fixing minor glitches.
- Power off the printer.
- Unplug it from the power source for at least 30 seconds.
- Plug it back in and power it on.
This can help clear temporary errors and may resolve the blank page issue.
5. Print a Printer Diagnostic Page
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
