I'm using an HP 8025e and having trouble printing full size pictures. When I go to print the printer seems to leave about an inch of white space on the 5"x7" picture before printing. I've made sure the settings are correct in windows for the correct paper and paper sizes. I made sure that I'm not using tabbed paper setting as well. I don't know where to turn for this issues and I've wasted time and ink trying to get this resolved.

Welcome to the HP User Community.
What you do depends on
- The software / application you are using
- The paper size and type
- Whether you are printing Borderless
- Whether your photo exactly matches the shape of the paper (Aspect Ratio)
- In the case where the photo does not exactly match the shape of the paper, whether you use "Crop" or "Shrink to Fit"
Examples...
Example - HP Smart - Windows - 5x7 Borderless

FYI Example - HP Smart - Windows - 4x6 Borderless
Includes examples of Crop / Shrink to Fit

I've made sure all the settings are correct. I've even tried to print from my phone with the same results so the issue revolves around the printer. The picture does not print completely when I print. I'm using 5x7 thick card stock, could there be an issue with the paper type? I've made sure the settings are all correct as far as paper type in the printer. I'm trying to print double sided and it seems that the first picture printed on side 1 is offset but the back is lined up correctly with the margins. It almost appears that the printer is having trouble grabbing the paper to start the print. Let me know your thoughts.

Section Paper Handling
Media weight supported (metric) | 60 to 105 g/m² (plain); 220 to 280 g/m² (photo); 75 to 90 g/m² (envelope); 163 to 200 g/m² (card) |
Media weight supported (U.S. standard) | 16 to 28 lb (plain paper); 60 to 75 lb (photo); 20 to 24 lb (envelope); 90 to 110 lb (card) |
Yes, the paper type can impact the results.
- If the paper weight is not supported, the printer might not draw the paper through the rollers properly.
- If the paper type is not supported for borderless (leaving white border around image), that can cause issues.
- If the paper type / size is not supported for duplex, odd things can happen though I'd expect the job to fail instead of producing odd margin results.
If part of the picture content is not printing (and, as you say, you are sure the settings are correct),
then sure - the source of the problem could be paper type / weight.
Duplex is not always supported on every paper type and / or every paper size.
If I have anything else to offer, I'll post back.
