HP Officejet Pro 8610 Error: Missing or failed Printheads / not installed properly or missing

[Personal Information Removed]

Firmware Code: FDP1CN2022AR

Hello,

I have unsuccessfully tried to fix the above-mentioned error doing the following:

  1. Power cycled multiple times
  2. Normal reset multiple times
  3. Loosened and re-seat the printhead multiple times
  4. Loosened and re-seat the print cartridges multiple times
  5. Exchanged the print cartridges with new ones
  6. Unsuccessfully tried to downgrade to an older firmware
  7. Ordered and installed and new printhead and print cartridges
  8. Semi-full reset per instructions

None of the above worked.

After the semi-full reset, now every time I power-cycle the printer I have to do a full setup again (starting with date, etc.).

I noticed that the firmware seemed to have been updated “automatically” since I didn’t recognize the code – after reading a bit more about it seems this could be the issue (especially since a brand new printhead did not help).

Since there is a semi-full reset, I wonder if there is also a FULL reset?

Any other ideas/ways to fix this?

As a last resort (before I discard the printer), does anybody know of a FULL reset procedure?
Not the semi-full reset...I tried that already.
