Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP 8610 printer that first gave me the following message:  The indicated cartridges are not intended for use in this printer.  There are 3 multi-colored cartridges and a black cartridge and all 4 indicate they are not intended for use in this printer.  I just bought these at Best Buy.  I had originally purchased replacement cartridges off of eBay and they gave me the same message.  When I reinstall the original cartridges, the problem goes away.

I have gone through the suggested troubleshooting ideas by removing and reinstalling the cartridges but to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Some additional information.  When I install my newly purchased ink cartridges, all 4 cartridges indicate they are not intended for use in this printer.  When I put the depleted cartridges back in, I do not get the "Not intended..." error message but it does indicate some of the cartridges are low.

My theories:

1. The cartridges I purchased on eBay and at Best Buy are counterfit

2. There is something wrong with the HP software in the printer

3. There is something wrong with the circuitry that is internal to the printer or the cartridges

Appreciate you trying the steps. If you are using genuine HP ink cartridge,  I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the ink replacement.
