Hi,
I acquired a HP 8620 Officejet Pro.
I prints perfectly, but the printing is not straight on the page.
Printing not straight
I tried the cartridge and linefeed calibrations but they did not help.
I opened the cartridge access door at the front and cleaned the rollers with alcohol and cleaned the rollers in the rear (after taking out the auto duplex unit) but none of this helped.
I examined the auto duplex unit and found that the "pressure blade", which applies pressure to the four white rollers in the auto duplex unit, was not fitted correctly.
It is secured by a single (Torx T10) screw at one end, and a locating "pip" at the other end. The "pip" had popped out of its locating hole, meaning the blade was not in contact with all four rollers as it should be.
I bent the pressure blade slightly, which allowed me to re-fit the pip into its locating hole. You could also remove the single (Torx T10) screw, which may allow the blade to be relocated without bending the blade.
Detail of duplex unit
This has solved the issue of the paper not feeding straight.
Hope this helps someone fix their 86xx series OfficeJet Pro one day.
This fix may apply to other HP models which use a similar auto duplex unit
