Hello,
I have a problem with scanning to network shared folder.
It shows error (over browser): "Incorrect credentials. Check your username/password and try again.", but I didn't setup any credentials while creating the share folder profile on the printer.
The shared folder on windows 10 was setup for "everyone" with Read/Write permissions. Even to folder all users have "full control".
When I want to scan to network folder over the printer display. It doesnt want any credentials from me.
Last week we have no problems with network sharing.
I use LAN connection.
Firmware version is WBP2CN1803AR
Thank you for help.

Hi! @Eda1, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!
I understand you have issues scan to network folder from your PC.
Don't worry I'd like to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
As you mentioned scan to network folder has stopped functioning and you get incorrect credentials on your PC.
Appreciate all your efforts so far. I have seen at times that the issue is fixed by assigning a manual google DNS address for the printer. Follow the steps below:
- Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.
- Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
- Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
- Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.
- Click on radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)
Please also try going to the Shared folder, right-click it and select Properties.
Open the Sharing tab and click the Share button, ensure both the user and everyone have Read & Write control and press OK.
Press on Advanced Sharing and ensure it is set as shared within there too, then click on Permissions and ensure that both the User and Everyone have full control.
Confirm the changes and return to the shared folder Properties.
Open the Security tab and ensure that both your user and Everyone have write control within that tab as well, then close the dialog by pressing OK.
Open the HP printer software. For more information, see Open the HP printer software (Windows). 2. Click Scan under Print, Scan & Fax , and then click Scan to Network Folder Wizard. 3. Follow the onscreen instructions. NOTE: After you have created destination folders, you can use the printer’s embedded web server (EWS) to customize the scan settings for these folders. On the last screen of the Scan to Network Folder Wizard, make sure the Launch embedded web server when finished check box is selected. When you click Finish, the EWS is displayed in your computer’s default web browser. For more information about EWS, see Embedded web server.
Use HP Scan to Network Folder
1. Load your original print-side down on the scanner glass or print-side up in the document feeder. For more information, see Load an original on the scanner glass or Load an original in the document feeder.
2. Touch Scan and then touch Network Folder.
3. On the control panel display, select the name that corresponds to the folder you want to use.
4. If prompted, enter the PIN.
5. Change any scan settings, and then touch Start Scan.
Refer the user guide to know more information about the scan to network folder.

This doesn't work. I'm on a Mac. Been on these forums still doesn't work. I have been usign this printer for years and then after your August update you broke everything. I've created a special 'printer' user, created a new 'scan' folder, everyone has permission, shared, setup your scan to folder using \\ipaddress\scan still get 'Incorrect credentials. Check your username/password and try again.'
So frustrating
