I have an HP 8715 printer. It recently started printing PDF docs full size, but only in the upper left hand corner. Any recommendations would be helpful. Thank you

@Knightsrule, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

The issue you're experiencing with your HP 8715 printer printing PDF documents full size but only in the upper left corner could be related to print settings or software glitches. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Print Settings

  1. Open the PDF Document: Open the PDF file using an application like Adobe Reader.
  2. Select Print Options: Go to File > Print (or press Ctrl + P).
  3. Printer Settings: Ensure that your printer (HP 8715) is selected.
  4. Page Scaling: Under 'Page Size & Handling', check that 'Fit' or 'Actual Size' is selected correctly. Do not select 'Custom Scale' unless specific scaling is necessary.
  5. Orientation and Size: Ensure that the orientation (portrait or landscape) and paper size settings match your document and printer settings.

Update PDF Software

Ensure that you're using the latest version of your PDF reading software, such as Adobe Reader, as outdated versions can sometimes cause printing issues.

Printer Firmware and Driver Update

  1. Firmware Update: Check for any firmware updates for your HP printer model. You can do this through the HP Support website or HP Smart app.
  2. Driver Update: Ensure that the printer driver on your computer is up to date. Visit the HP Support page to find the latest drivers for your HP 8715 printer.

Print a Test Page

You can try printing a test page directly from the printer or computer to see if the issue persists with other document types.

Reset Printer Settings

Consider resetting the printer settings to default to eliminate any custom changes that might be causing the problem. You can do this from the printer's control panel under settings.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
