Hi @SteveAdams55 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand there are a couple of things you can try to fix the "One or more cartridges are missing or damaged" error on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e:

1. Check the cartridges:

  • Genuine HP cartridges: Make sure you're using genuine HP ink cartridges compatible with your printer model. Non-genuine cartridges can sometimes trigger this error.
  • Cartridge installation: Reinstall the cartridges properly. Ensure they are inserted all the way in and snap securely into place.
  • Cartridge damage: Look for any physical damage on the cartridges, like leaks or scratches on the contacts. If a cartridge is damaged, replace it.

2. Clean the cartridges:

  • A dirty cartridge can also cause this issue. Gently wipe the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges with a lint-free cloth.

3. Restart the printer:

  • A simple restart can sometimes resolve glitches. Turn off the printer, unplug it for a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on.

4. Update the printer firmware:

  • Outdated firmware can sometimes lead to printing issues. Check HP's website for your specific printer model to see if a firmware update is available. Update the firmware on an HP printer

5. Reset the printer:

  • If none of the above steps work, try resetting the printer to factory settings. Consult your printer's manual or HP's website for specific instructions on how to reset your model.

I hope this helps.
