HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I have had my 9125 for months.   I have had numerous HP offficejet printers for years.   I like to use the power off and power on schedule.   I do NOT subscribe to instant ink.

Unfortunately, my 9125 printer will NOT power off when scheduled.   If i then power it down manually, it will automatically power on as scheduled.

This appears to be a software issue.   Can I expect HP to fix this issue?

Hi @DHersk,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e not shutting down as scheduled. This could be related to a software or firmware bug.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot or mitigate the problem:

  • Firmware Update: Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or directly on the printer’s control panel under settings. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Reset Printer Settings: Sometimes, resetting the printer to factory settings can resolve persistent issues. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to reconfigure your settings afterward.
  • Check Schedule Settings: Review the power schedule settings to ensure they are configured correctly. You might want to delete and recreate the power schedule to see if that resolves the issue.
