I've had a 9135E for about a month. Works great on all apple devices, including MacBook. Windows devices are, however, another story. Windows 10 machine - scanning works one day and not the next. Try rebooting printer, PC, etc, and finally something will get it working -- after 30 minutes spent fiddling with it. WIndows 11 machine -- will print only when it feels like it.
Spoke with HP Tech support on 5/13. They said it could not be hooked up to both Ethernet and Wireless (like my last HP printer was for over 10 years). They had me unplug ethernet, and just hook up to wireless. He connected to my machine and installed a different driver. The one that HP SMART prompted me to set up was HPI3743F4 (oOffice Jet Pro 9130e Series), however he was able to set up HP OfficeJet Pro 9130 E Serices PCL3 (V3). This worked -- for 2 days.
Today I tried to print, and the printer showed as OFFLINE. Rebooted printer, but first got the dreaded F1.01.01.02 error. Printer finally rebooted (this printer takes very long), but printer showed up now as "unknown". Rebooted Computer -- again. Still no luck printing. Switched to the original HPI3743F4 that I set up, and that one printed.
Called Tech support -- She wanted me to try to hook up to Ethernet. I'm sorry, but insanity is trying the same thing over and over, and expecting different results! She said that if I didn't want to troubleshoot again, either return the printer to Staples or to HP.
I cannot spend 45 minutes every single time I need to print or scan something.
Has anyone else been successful in getting this BEAST to print and Scan under Windows 10 and 11 reliably on demand and without the f0.01.01.02 error, or does this printer really need to go back (in exchange for a brand that works)? Note: the firmware in the printer is up to date, the windows drivers are also the latest, and both my husband and I are IT professionals.

Hi @ITDawn,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you've been through quite a frustrating experience with your HP 9135E printer. The F0.01.01.02 error seems to be a recurring issue. It's understandable that you're feeling frustrated, especially considering the time and effort you've put into resolving the issue.
There are a few additional steps you could try:
- Check Network Settings: Ensure that your printer's network settings are correctly configured. If you're using both Ethernet and wireless connections, make sure they're set up properly and not conflicting with each other.
- Update Firmware and Drivers: Confirm that both your printer's firmware and your computer's drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated software can cause compatibility issues.
- Reset Printer: Consider performing a factory reset on your printer. This can sometimes resolve persistent errors by restoring the device to its default settings.
- Use HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP offers a tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor, which can help diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. It may be worth running this tool to see if it identifies any issues with your setup.
- Try Different Connection Methods: Experiment with different connection methods (e.g., Ethernet only, wireless only) to see if one works more reliably than the other.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Does anyone who works for HP Monitor this?
Given that many people are experiencing this issue, and I am an IT Professional, I have a proposal:
* Send me a new printer
* I will return this defective one and you can witness the issues first hand, in order to solve the issue
*I can provide our exact configurations so that you can set this up like I have it set up
Again -- the problem only exists in WINDOWS -- I don't think that your drivers are working properly. If you send me a new unit, that should prove this. Having a unit with known issues will enable you to develop drivers for windows that work.
What is puzzling is that even though the problem only seems to exist on windows devices when scanning or printing, the Printer is showing the FO. etc error multiple times a week.

DO HP ENGINEERS READ THIS??? So after several more weeks with this printer, I have had NO ISSUES with APPLE DEVICES, however, the printer is CONSTANTLY offline in Windows.
To get it back, I have to run HP Smart, put in the pin number of the printer, and click on the wrench icon to run diagnostics. After running this the printer goes back online.
HP -- whatever those diagnostics are doing, you need to have happen automatically in the print driver!!! I can't have to stop and run this every single day.
If an engineer calls me I am willing to work with them (I won't charge my usually consulting rate) for free to recreate this issue for them, so we can do a service and fix it for the many people experiencing this issue.
