I am using the HP original cartridges and the printer keeps generating an error saying the cartridge is "incompatible." even a hard power down and reset still not resolve the error. tried the update the firmware but I don;t know if I'm doing it right because still not working

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

 

I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer that has an incompatible cartridge error.

Please follow the below steps to fix the issue.

 

First, remove all cartridges from printer, restart printer.

 

When printer turns on and a white strip status bar appears on the bottom of screen > press on the bottom-left corner of screen and hold > Hold until the bar finishes loading and "Permanent Storage init" appears on the screen.

 

Once the main page loads, go through the setup process steps (language, location, etc.). Once complete, printer will alert you to install supplies. Insert cartridges one at a time, and close the cover after each.

 

Let printer initialize and accept the printer cartridge. Repeat this step for each toner cartridge until all are installed and ready.

Please follow the below steps to further troubleshoot.

 

A) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.

 

B) Refer to the steps on this link to further troubleshoot.

 

C) If the issue still persists, refer to the steps on this link to restore factory defaults and let me know if that resolves the issue.
