I was trying to reset to factory default the printer when I stumbled to the "Clear all mem" option. After selecting the option and the process was done, now it is showing incompatible cartridge in all colors. All of these are original. How can undo/fix my mistake?

Hi @csrosario,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting the "Clear All Memory" function resets the printer’s settings, which may have disrupted the cartridge recognition process. Here’s how to try resolving this:
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about a minute.
- Plug it back in and power it on. Sometimes, this can refresh the cartridge detection.
Remove and Reinsert Cartridges:
- Open the printer, carefully remove each cartridge, and check for any dust or debris on the contacts.
- Reinsert each cartridge one at a time, ensuring each clicks firmly into place.
Firmware Update: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Check for any firmware updates. A reset can sometimes revert the firmware, affecting cartridge compatibility.
- Go to HP’s support page, search for your printer model, and download the latest firmware for your printer if available.
Restore Defaults Again:
- If you still face issues, try a factory reset through the printer’s control panel.
- Navigate to Settings > System Setup > Restore Defaults.
Use the HP Smart App for Diagnosis: HP printer setup (HP Smart app)
- Open the HP Smart App on your Windows 11 PC, go to Tools or Advanced Settings, and run diagnostics.
- This can sometimes identify and resolve compatibility issues with genuine cartridges.

I hope this helps.
