HP Color Laser MFP179fnw transfer belt error

My brand new HP Color Laser MFP179fnw gives me a "transfer belt error". I have switched it off completely and on again and it still gives me the same error. When I phone HP's call centre it takes me through all the gibberish and when I eventually have to choose 2/3, the phone voice says that due to emergency procedure no one can take my call.
