HP Color LaserJet CP5225N
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have a problems with HP Color LaserJet CP5225N printer.

When printing A3 color:

It is printing color prints, but one third of the paper have wide grey and wide blue vertical line.

Grey/blue vertical lines are showing in last section in paper.

I mean that the printer prints those in last.

In other sections of the paper the colors are showing well and here is no any problems in colors.

When printing A4 color:

It is printing color prints, but half of the paper have blue horizontal line.

Other half of the paper have great colors.

When printing black/white A3 or A4:

it is printing blank page, so here is nothing in the paper.

Here is some error codes which are showing in Event log:

cp5225_error_codes.png

Here is for example error code 54.1203 "Verify that the cables between the DC controller and the ITB are firmly connected. Yellow density measurement abnormality."

I think because here is showing blue in some color prints, it can be that there is some fault in yellow color.

But why it is not printig black/white ?

I checked that there is no loosen cables which were showing up.

Tried to print with PCL6, PCL5, PostScript, USB and printer Diagnostic page, all have a same problems.

Anyone know what can be the solution ?

54 errors are related to either cartridge issues or cartridge sensor issues. What are the current supply levels for your toner cartridges

All the cartridges have over 60% supply level.

Do you mean by "cartridge sensor issues" the density detect sensor ?

I found this: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Errors-or-Lights-Stuck-Print-Jobs/In-HP-3525-printer-manual-i...

There is manual how to clean those density sensors.

There is some third party cartridges installed in printer but I do not have sure if those yellow cartridge is third party's.

Is there some other things than density sensor cleaning what can I try before replacing parts ?

It is also strange that some parts of the color prints have really good colors and when printing black/white it prints blank paper.

Could those things be related to density sensor or would it be some other issue ?

Attached the image which kind of problem is showing up in A3 paper when printing color images.

There is straight lines where this problem occurs and other sections of paper have a good colors.
