The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw does not give an option to print in draft mode.  What do I need to do to print in draft mode?

Hello @mangoldc ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!

There is no draft mode.

Use this mode here:

Is the same.

Unfortunately, there is no option for that. It only has the option for "Image REt 3600."

Here are the complete setting options: HP print settings guide , "Print quality and improvement settings"

Be sure to watch the video.

Which operating system is used?

I am using Windows 11.

At the moment I can't understand why the setting options (video) are so different.

Install this software package here: HP Universal Scan - Full Feature Software and Driver

I hope this helps.

I installed the driver you recommended, but it's only for scanning.  It still didn't give me any option to print in "Draft" or "Economode."

Since the video does not match your settings, it follows that the printer must be reset.
Follow these instructions here: Restore factory defaults on most HP touchscreen printers
and then take a screenshot of:
a) Printing Shortcuts
b) Paper/Quality

Then we will see.

Sorry for the delay.  I was out of town and am just catching up now: I restored to factory defaults. Here are the screenshots:

Doesn't appear as if anything changed. Also, I looked at the Printer Manual for this printer and on page 90 it says that this printer does have an Economode option.
