Product: HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One Printer - H711a/H711g

Hi, my Officejet 6600 has developed the "Out of Paper / HP Recommends ColorLok Paper" error message and wont pick up the paper which is loaded. I have tried printing test document which sometimes prints but often doesnt. I get some results when I coax a piece of paper manually and singularly into the printer feed, but mainly get the Out of Paper error message.

This seems to be a major issue for HP customers. I have looked online and seems most responses are focused on disabling Notification within Printer Setup but instructions are for Windows solution. Please, please can anyone help with Chrome solution as I am travelling soon and need to print important docs. My printer is fully recognised and set up correctly and did work fine until I replaced new print cartridges, not HP (due to extortionate cost) but with compatible cartridges purchased from a reputable and professional cartridge shop. Printer is connected by USB wire. This is an issue which seems to frustrate and annoy many HP customers. Come on HP, sort it out!!
