HP d110
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)
Hi.

For some reason I am unable to connect my d110 inkjet printer to a new Spectrum combination modem/router. I have gone through the setup procedure on the printer, but to no avail. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi! @Gary1956, Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

I understand you have issues connecting your printer to the network.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Are you able to make a copy from your printer?

Is your printer working with USB connection?

As you mentioned you have issues connecting your printer to the network.

Try to disable IPv6 on the printer to make sure IPv4 is used by your printer and router on your network.

Connect to the wireless network with the Wireless Setup Wizard

The Wireless Setup Wizard provides instructions to configure the wireless connection. Follow the instructions on the printer control panel, or continue with the following steps.
If the list of available networks does not include your network, use the following steps to add it manually.
Touch the Right Arrow button () to select Enter New Network Name (SSID), and then touch OK.
Type your network name using the printer control panel, and then use the Right Arrow button () to select Done. Touch OK to confirm.
   NOTE:
Make sure that you type the uppercase (capital) and lowercase (small) letters exactly. Otherwise, the wireless connection fails.
   NOTE:
If the printer does not find the network, the printer provides an option to use the network anyway. This option allows you to try troubleshooting the wireless network later.
Touch the Right Arrow button () to select Infrastructure, and then touch OK.
Touch the Right Arrow button () to select WEP encryption or WPA encryption, and then touch OK.
   NOTE:
If you are not using any encryption, select No encryption.
If prompted, enter the WPA or WEP key, and then touch the Right Arrow button () to select Done. Touch OK to confirm.
   NOTE:
Make sure that you type the uppercase (capital) and lowercase (small) letters exactly. Otherwise, the wireless connection fails.
Make sure that the printer successfully connects to the network before continuing to the next step.
   NOTE:
If a connection error message displays, make sure that the network name and security key are correct, and then follow the prompts to type the information again.
When the printer successfully connects to the wireless network, touch OK to print the Wireless network Test Report.

Also, Try assigning a manual IP to your printer and check if it helps.

•                     Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to get the IP address.
•                     Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
•                     Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
•                     Click on the radio button which says, “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.

•                     Click on radio button which says, “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)
•                     Restart the printer and then router once done.
