HP DeskJet 2130
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought the HP DeskJet 2130 few months ago that worked totally fine.

But all of the sudden, the printer slowed down day after day, whenever I use it.

And then it prints copies with several white lines.

So I followed the instruction on the HP website but it seems nothing can fix this problem.

I'd tried everything what was on the error pages but it only makes the printer go much slower.

I left the printer and my family used other printers in their office.

Weeks later, I wondered maybe if the printer is now properly functioning.

I looked up the HP Print and Scan Doctor and HP Smart again, and clicked the print button of test copy.

Now, it only prints copies full of dark inks!

Additionally, HP Smart app is stuck and I can't exit from it.

I've clicked every exit option that I can make; corner of the bar, right click exit from the background bar, and so on.

2 of the HP Smart pages are still stuck and doing nothing.

If there is any solution for this, please let me know.

Please try these steps

  1. Turn on the printer.

  2. Load paper into the input tray.

  3. Press and hold the Power button, press the Cancel button three times, press the Start Copy Color button eight times, and then release the Power button.

The printer feeds one page slowly and it might make some noise for approximately one minute. A blank test page prints.

  4. Wait until the page is out of the printer before you remove it.

  5. Discard or recycle the test page, and then try to print.

If the issue persists try cleaning the Printhead

  1. Load U.S. letter or A4 size, unused, plain paper into the input tray.

  2. Turn on the printer.

  3. Open or search for the HP folder in your list of installed software programs, click the folder for your printer, and then click the name of your printer.

    HP Printer Assistant opens.

  4. On the HP Printer Assistant window, click Maintain Your Printer.

  5. Click the Device Services tab, and then click Clean Ink Cartridges.

  6. Once the cleaning cycle completes, click Print.

    A test page prints.

  7. Examine the test page.

    • If the print quality is acceptable, click Done. You can stop troubleshooting.

    • If the print quality is unacceptable, click Second-level Clean when prompted to perform the next level of cleaning.

NOTE: If the ink cartridges are badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform both levels of cleaning again.

Thank you

Hello!

Thank you so much.  Copies are back to normal.

But it still has a few blurry white lines on top of the letters.

Does it need to be cleaned manually?

I'll suggest try cleaning the printhead few more times and check how it improves with more prints
