I asked about setting up printer with my OS the other day and was provided with a link to do that.
Each time I try this, I get the message that my printer is not found.Perhaps part of the problem is that it says to plug the cable into the router, but there is no place for it on my router. There's a place where it fits into the back of my computer.Would that work? I'm afraid I'm still adrift with this thing. I appreciate the link; please help me be able to use it. Thanks.

@1TechnoKlutz Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you are unable to install the drivers.
I would suggest you try the Windows built-in drivers. Follow the steps below:
• Go to Control Panel - Devices and printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.
• When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.
• Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.
