I have an HP DeskJet Plus 4152 printer that I've owned for over 4 years, and now it will not print. It will not connect via wi-fi, so I'm using a brand new printer cable which is at least letting me connect to the printer. Problem is that the little message screen is continuously flashing with a yellow light also flashing. Have tried every possible troubleshooting option available, to no avail. Seems to me that HP needs to get their **bleep** together and stop charging such high prices for junk and the printer ink needed. HP's online assistance is non-existent, as I've tried the virtual assistant (a complete and total joke), and cannot get the **bleep**ing printer to work.

Hi @Tiedyedhawk,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds incredibly frustrating to have tried everything and still not get your HP DeskJet Plus 4152 to work properly. Based on your description, here's what might be causing the issue and steps to try.
Common Causes
- Flashing Yellow Light: Indicates a hardware error, paper jam, ink cartridge issue, or connectivity issue.
- Message Screen Flashing: Suggests an error message or status issue that needs resolution.
Troubleshooting Steps
Check the Ink Cartridges:
- Open the printer cover and ensure the ink cartridges are seated correctly.
- Remove and reinstall them. If they appear damaged, replacing them may be necessary.
- Clean the ink cartridge contacts with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Open all accessible compartments (front and back).
- Remove any stuck paper or debris carefully.
Reset the Printer:
- Disconnect the printer from power while it’s on.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds, then reconnect and power it back on.
Test Hardware Connection:
- Ensure the USB cable is firmly connected to both the printer and computer.
- If possible, try using the USB cable on another computer to rule out issues with your current setup.
Printer Diagnostics:
- If you can, press the Cancel + Copy buttons simultaneously to print a self-test or status report. This might reveal an error code.
- Check the user manual for error code explanations.
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Remove the printer from your system.
- Download and install the latest drivers from the HP support page for the DeskJet Plus 4152.
Factory Reset:
- If the issue persists, try a factory reset:
- Hold down the Cancel and Wireless buttons for 20 seconds.
- This should reset network settings and some configurations.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
