HP DeskJet 1112 Printer

I have an HP Deskjet 1112 that has printed fine for four years.  All of a sudden it stopped working.  It shows up as ready in system control. HP Smart and Scan Doctor say there are not issues, but when I go to print, nothing shows up in the que.  When I hit test print in Scan Doctor nothing happens. If I try to align the print heads or clean print heads it will print a page, but nothing else will work.

 

I have uninstalled and installed the driver. Restarted and tried everything else I can find.  Everything on my computer says the printer is ready to go, but nothing will print or show up in the que.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP DeskJet 1112 Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

To assist better:

 

  • Does the copy print out the same way? 
  • What's the application you are trying to print from? 
  • Have you tried printing from a different application or device? 

While you respond to that, Let's perform a power drain: 

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Update the printer firmware 

 

  • Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your product
