Hi @DGDAP,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with a continuously flashing red LED on your HP Deskjet 2135 printer typically indicates a problem, such as a cartridge issue, paper jam, or an error with the printer.
Here's what you can try to resolve it:
Check for Paper Jams:
- Open the printer and check for any paper jams inside the printer. Remove any stuck paper carefully.
Reinstall the Ink Cartridge:
- Even though you changed the cartridge, it's worth reinstalling it. Ensure that the ink cartridge is properly inserted and secured in place. Sometimes a cartridge might not be properly seated.
Check the Ink Cartridge:
- Make sure that the new cartridge is compatible with your printer and not defective. You might want to try the old cartridge again (if you still have it) to see if the red light goes off.
Check for Any Obstructions:
- Inspect the printer for any paper or objects that might be blocking the printhead or affecting its movement.
Reset the Printer:
- Power off the printer.
- Unplug the printer's power cord and wait for about 30 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and power it on.
Check the Printer’s Status on the Computer:
- Ensure that the printer is set as the default printer and there are no print jobs stuck in the queue. If there are, cancel them and try printing again.
