I recently took my printer out of storage and sent a print to my Deskjet 2600 series printer, the printer printed a blank page. Tried cleaning using the HP clean cycle and alignment but still nothing. Took cartridges out and replaced, same issue. For my cartridges I found a fix. 

 

Take a shallow bowl and fill about 1cm with boiling water. I then placed the 2 cartridges (print strip down) into the boiling water. Left them their for about 30 minutes. I then dried them with a paper lint free cloth, waited a bit for any excess water to dry and put them back into the printer. Printed a test page, all came out fine. 

 

I have seen that the last solution for this problem was to log a call with HP?!! Or replace the cartridge. Hopefully this fixes it for some people. 

 

** Be careful to make sure that the cartridges are properly dry before putting them in the printer **
