I am trying to use my Deskjet 2700 but it lost connection. I was able to reset the connection by pressing the wifi and cancel for 3 seconds, and the printer can now connect back to the network. But in order to print, it's telling me on the HP Smart app that I need to use setup cartridges, which is a joke because I have had this printer for over a year and those cartridges are now long gone. So how do I use my printer again without having those? This setup cartridge idea was a bad idea from HP. Why can't I simply print using the current cartridges which are just fine?
Is there a bypass for this issue? I am in a country with no quick access to mail so don't tell me to order new setup cartridges, that would take over a month to arrive here.

Welcome to HP Support Community!
To bypass the message on the printer the only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
Please help us with the Printer serial number or the product number on a private message for further assistance.
