Hi @mninja,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've forgotten the Embedded Web Server (EWS) password for your HP DeskJet 3639 printer and standard key sequences aren't working for you, there are a few steps you can try to reset it:

Default Passwords: HP printers often have default passwords. You might try common default passwords like "admin" or "password". However, keep in mind that if you've changed the password in the past, these defaults won't work.

Factory Reset: Most printers have a factory reset option. This will revert all settings, including the password, back to their original state. The process for initiating a factory reset varies depending on the model of your printer. You can usually find instructions in the printer's manual or on the HP support website.

Refer to this document: HP printers - Cannot connect to Web Services

Login to the EWS page with the default credentials and change the password.

Username: admin

Password: "leave it blank"

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I had set a custom password before. Every time I try to go to settings i Get a popup

" sign in to HP DeskJet 3630 series A custom password has been set for your printer. Enter the password to access the printer web interface. " There is a text box for the password.

The only way to get this working is to reset the printer to factory defaults.
