After a printer job got stuck in the queue I did a factor reset as hard reset didn't help. But after this the printer is now unresponsive and information and wireless lights are blinking continuously and there are lots of errors in the display window. Unable to reconfigure the printer or connect to my existing instant ink subscription.

@tony_amalraj, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're facing an issue where all lights are blinking on your HP DeskJet Plus 4130 after a factory reset, and you're unable to reconfigure the printer or connect to your Instant Ink subscription. Let's work through this step-by-step to get your printer back up and running.
Understand the Blinking Lights
When all lights blink on the HP DeskJet 4130, it typically indicates a critical error or that the printer is in an error recovery state after a reset.
Perform a Power Reset
- Turn the printer on, if it’s not already.
- With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
- Turn the printer on, if it doesn’t turn on automatically.
Check if the blinking lights stop. If not, proceed to the next step.
Reinitialize the Printer
Since a factory reset was already done, the printer might be stuck in a corrupted state. Try this:
Caution: This will remove all settings and may require re-enrollment in Instant Ink.
- Press and hold the Cancel (X) and Wireless buttons together for about 10 seconds until the printer restarts.
- Wait for the printer to reinitialize.
If the lights continue to blink, proceed to reinstall the firmware.
Update or Reinstall Firmware
Corrupted firmware can cause blinking lights. Use the HP Smart App or HP Firmware Updater:
- Download the firmware from the official HP site: Official HP® Support
Follow the instructions to install the firmware via USB if the printer is not connecting wirelessly.
Reconfigure Using HP Smart App
- Download the HP Smart App from the Microsoft Store.
- Open the app and click Set up a new printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to Wi-Fi.
If the printer is not detected, try connecting via USB first, then configure wireless.
Reconnect to Instant Ink
Once the printer is online:
- Sign in to your HP account at HP Instant Ink.
- Go to My Printers and click Add a Printer.
- Follow the prompts to re-enroll or reconnect your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

@Max3Aj, thank you for your input. The steps to correct the blinking lights didn't work but to my surprise when I did the reconfiguration using the app from my phone while the lights and warnings were still blinking it just disappeared. So I feel the blinking warning lights is probably not an issue but just another way of the printer telling that it is reset and ready to be reconfigured.
