HP Deskjet 656c Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I am in a fix, I recently upgraded my old XP based PC to a brand new one which runs on Win 10 64-bit. Since then my good old HP 656c Deskjet is not usable at all as I am not able to find any drivers.

I am very upset, as I donot have a budget for a new printer for a long time into years ahead and this existing one is very very mint and operational.

Please help me with a 64 bit drivers.

Kind Regards,

Sri Harsha G

Well that's an OLD printer.  I find no 64 bit or any Win 10 drivers at all.

Might want to try the Win 10 ADD PRINTER assistant to see if there are any built in drivers for that printer.  Pick a model number close to the one you have and try it to see if it works.  You can always remove it and try another.

Otherwise, time to upgrade your printer.

Hi Sabretooth04,

Thanks for quick response, I’ve given it all the best trail and error with the windows default drivers.

The one thing that seemed promising was the “HP PCL 3 drivers”. The drivers install right away and the printer is recognised correctly. However when I print anything at all, an empty page rolls in and rolls out. No clue what to do..

Also, would there be some place I could get the source of 32 bit drivers? I could try re compiling for 64Bit.

Hoping to get this to work..

You will have to search the web as I don't find them on the HP web site.
