HP ENVY 4500
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Bought the HP ENVY 4500 All-in-one about 2 or 3 years ago, but never opened the box. Yesteday I attempted to set it up. Upon powering up I got the ERROR CODE OX83C0000A NOS_LOADER_APP message on the printer screen. I have tried all the unplugging, waiting, repowering. Not using a power strip or extension cord. Power button flashes and error code are the only signsof life. Software has been installed but my computer does not recognize it. I tried the pushing a bunch of buttons at the same time (as someone suggested). Once I got REFLASH 12345. Otherwise back to ERROR CODE. Help...about ready to get violent.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

This is a possible firmware issue with the printer. Updating the firmware and resetting the printer to factory defaults may resolve this issue:

Step 1: Update the printer firmware

Note: If you are able to bypass the error message and go to the home screen on the printer try this step.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Step 2: I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

I have the same error message but have been using my printer for over a year. Cannot bypass or get around the error message to conduct the instructions provided to previous community member. Now what do I do
