HP ENVY 4520
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My HP ENVY 4520 acts like it's printing, but the pages come out blank. It doesn't matter if I try to clean cartridges,  align cartridges, print a test page. Nothing is printed on the page. This is not even trying to print a doc from a computer. I updated the software, no change.

Try changing the black cartridge. How often do you use the printer?

I'm actually waiting for both a new black and color cartridge to arrive, and my plan was to change them both.

It's been about 3-4 months since I used it last. Had to set up a home office for the next few weeks.

I can hear the cartridges moving, but the paper just comes out blank.

Inkjets need to used at least once a week in order to keep the printheads in printing shape.

Failing to do so the ink will dry in the printheads.

Try soaking the printheads (bottom) in 1/4 inch of hot water for a few minutes then dry the cartridges with anything lint free.

If you see ink in the water try printing.

Aaaah. That could be it hopefully.

The hot water revealed a tiny bit of color, but zero black.  So I'll see what it does after i get the new cartridges. 🤞🏻

Try soaking the color cartridge again.

Remove the black cartridge & try printing using just the color cartridge.
