ENVY 4522
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi there,

I have genuine HP cartridges (HP 63) in my HP ENVY printer.
I refill them at Costco. This has always worked fine. Now, suddenly I am getting an error message" Incompatible Cartridges: The indicated cartridges are not intended for use in this printer"

What gives? Do I need to buy new ink when I just had this one refilled?
I've tried to clean the contacts as per the HP help site, as well as restoring factory settings. Nothing has helped so far.

Apparently the color cartridge is the incompatible one, but I can't seem to get it to print when the color cartridges is removed. Are they co-dependent?

If you continue facing the issue, then you need to replace the faulty cartridge.

@schoujill,

If the steps in the article didn't do the trick, it would confirm a hardware malfunction and you may want to contact support to check the available service options for your printer.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Cheers!
