HP Envy 5055 All-In-One Printer
iOS

Ran into an issue today. I bought an HP Envy 5055 All-In-One Printer a year and a half ago. Haven't used it at all until now. I got to print and I'm trying to print 4x6 pages glossy. The first two didn't work due to dried out cartridges. I replaced the cartridges with new tri color and black cartridges. I go to print the adjustment print page and I can only see black on it with one magenta arrow near the bottom. It seemed weird to me that there was faint blue showing the first try. When it went through the adjusting process after scanning it, it told me the first time that it didn't work. I reprinted it, and redid the scan, and it worked (mind you that both pages looked exactly the same with only black with magenta, but no cyan or yellow. I tried to then print a page and it only printed magenta and black. Hit the setting to clean the cartridges and it printed out a color report. On the color report, I could only see Magenta and Black. Does this mean even though I only used it once a year and a half ago, that I have bad print heads? That's what I thought, but even then, focusing in on cyan and yellow are on different print heads. I never bumped it or did anything to damage it at all. What could be the problem? I had a wireless connections. It was not showing any error messages either. Every time I printed after, only Magenta and Black print.

Hi @Jliindeman,

I'd like to help!

If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps!
