Hi,

Just to confirm, when you login using the link below, your printer status is offline? If it's offline, it won't be able to update the page count.

Please check that you don't have wifi direct enabled and you have no devices connected to the printer via wifi direct as this does not allow a printer internet connection.

No link provided -

I Log-In as I have for years and up until June 17 the "Page Usage" was updating automatically.

I have made no changes to my system.

Please, elaborate on how I might check to see if I have "wifi direct enabled" ?

Thanks for your assistance.

Hi,

Apologies for not including the link - it's the same link that you would use if you've been logging into your account regularly.

To check that wifi direct is not enabled, open your wireless menu on your printer panel and check that you are still connected to your home wifi network. Once you have confirmed that you are connected to your home wifi, then login again and check if your ststus is online.

Hello Again -

The 'frustrating part' of all this - I've always printed via wifi with this printer.  Everything I can think of looks 'right' and I've never been  'offline' until now.

Of course, this doesn't stop me from using the printer, but when my 'Instant Ink' payment is due it will be a problem since it will not update the page usage.

Also, I can access all the printer information 'online' via 'HP Printer Assistant' - to check ink usage, etc, but even that shows I'm "offline' - the 'Fix This' link has no effect.

I am hoping you will have an answer - Thanks Again.

PS: A possible clue - this change occurred after a power outage - and forced shutdown - due to a severe thunder storm.

Hi,

Try restarting your printer by powering it down and unplugging it for 30 seconds before powering it up again and re-connecting to your home wifi network. If this doesnt help, restart your router and connect the printer again.

My attempts to solve this problem include:

Turning the printer wifi off, then turning the printer off and unplugging it, tuning everything back on and reconnecting to the network - no change.

I have turned the firewall off - no change.

I've rebooted the router and computer - no change.

What puzzles me is I can go to the 'HP Printer Assistant' Home Page shows everything is 'ready 'and I can print from online, but, when I go to the web services tab it shows a red 'x' - and a 'Fix This' link - which doesn't fix anything.

Under the 'Tools' tab - 'Ink Guage' - it shows 'Not Connected' - as you would expect.

Still trying . . .
