Lately every time I try to do duplex printing, error message indicates there's a preference conflict so reverts back to single side printing. I was able to resolve the issue once, but now same issue.  Wasting timeand paper trying to print when I desperately need back to back.  HELP!  HELP!  HELP! What have I dont wrong that's causing this?  Should I delete the printer and re-install?  Lots of work to do and this is critical

Does the driver indicate what the conflicting settings are?

There are a number of print settings that are not compatible with automatic duplex printing.  If any of these are selected there will be a conflict:

  • Photo paper
  • Paper size other than Letter/A4
  • Borderless Printing

Bob Headrick,

You gave such great advice that I wish I had seen earlier.  You were right about the paper setting size in that I had clicked an area that had the triangular alert which should have been enough for me to realize that I needed to select another paper size.  I had 8 x 10 when it should have been letter size.  Something so simple took me away from doing some much needed projects all day, but now it's fixed.

Thank you so much and yes, KUDOS to you for responding and giving me great advice that I will remember should this happen again.
