I have cicked on control panel, printers and devises, right clicked on my printer's image, clicked printing preferences and a box comes up with SHORTCUT showing a bunch of little  photos and have a little lock on them. I have tried to instead go to layout up at the top and put in main tray, paper size, etc. but it just keeps going back to the photo setting when I try and print. Help!

@KMDrgnLdy,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support community!

The shortcuts that display locks are "standard template" shortcuts.

The settings on these templates cannot be changed.

Let's try these steps:

Step 1: Change the paper settings on the printer.

  • Open the paper tray and close the paper tray. You would get a notification to change the paper settings.

  • When prompted select the correct paper size and paper type on the Printer control panel.

Step 2: Change the paper settings on the PC

  • Open the document that you want to print
  • click on 'Print'
  • Under 'Settings' select the paper settings needed.

Once the settings are changed, try to print.

Let me know if this helps.
