Hello Atharva_gp,

Did you see my posts? Can you give me some more info on how to contact HP?

Also, I have to set the DNS and all back to original. The DNS now messes up my HP Connected communication.

So now I'm stuck. I can't contact HP Support team, because i can't see how. Maybe I'm just a dolt.

However, now my DNS is messed up because of the instructions given to me, so that my Instant Ink feature doesn't work. it doesn't communicate with the server.

Anyone there in HP land able to help, please?

I have the same problem with my Envy 7640. When I followed the instructions I found that I do not have the selection to turn "AUTO OFF" off! All my setup gives is "SLEEP TIME"! Is there any other way it can be changed. I have just started having this problem and it started about 2 weeks ago. Thank you.

I do not have an iPad or Apple anything! My laptop is an ACER running Windows 7.

Hi DougMur,

Disclaimer: I am not an expert at this and I'm going from memory plus some investigation. Maybe one of the HP experts will help you out better. However, until then, the way they fixed the problem for me was to go to the printer's website and change some settings.

The website might be 10.0.0.105? Look in your paperwork or on the printer itself. It looks like we changed mine to 10.0.0.217, though not sure why.

Then the Preferred DNS address was changed to 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate to 8.8.4.4.

That seems to be all that was changed. After that it has worked great.

Good luck. I hope this helps.

Chuck
