HP ENVY INSPIRE 7258 SERIES

HP ENVY INSPIRE 7258 SERIES says there’s no paper when I try to print from my cell phone, but there’s paper loaded. Also, how do I print without the photo paper, which I don’t need?? Please help as I’m starting to feel like I am wasting my money on this printer and I’ve only used it a couple of times☹️🤦🏾‍♀️

You don't need photo paper loaded unless you are using photo paper for the current job.

That said, when the paper settings on the printer and within the job are set appropriately, you can leave photo paper loaded in the photo paper tray ready for later use.

First,

Load the paper you want to use.

Next,

The printer needs to be alerted to which paper size and type you do want to use.

Depending on the type of phone you have, it's Operating System / version, and whether you are using HP Smart (app), you might be able to check / adjust the paper size / type within the app (Printer Settings > Advanced).

You can also / instead view / adjust the paper size, type, tray using your browser and the Embedded Web Server (EWS).

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper (Management)

Select / Adjust settings for Paper Size / Type

Model and EWS version Dependent:  Advanced section

Click Apply to save changes
