HP ENVY PHOTO 6232
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer HP ENVY PHOTO 6232 is extremely slow when copying a DINA4 paper since 2 or 3 weeks.

I've read a lot of forum entries and in my opinion the problem is that the printer thinks I'm using photopaper. When ejecting the paper drawer and pushing it back the printer is showing "Hauptfach A4(210 x 297 mm), Fot...".

I'm German and my printer, too 😉

I think "Fot..." stands for "photo paper". But I cannot change this setting.

In software I've set the preferences to "normal paper" but the printer display still shows "Fot..." (= photo paper???).

How can I set the preferences to "normal paper"?

Thank you for your answer. I solved the problem. I opened and closed the tray several times and then it was possible to get access to the "Hauptfach A4(210 x 297 mm), Fot..." menu and to switch the entry from photo paper to normal paper. After that the copy speed of the printer was good.
