My HP ENVY Photo 7134 is stuck in error mode, showing code B8ECDBCA with all lights flashing. I’ve tried everything the virtual assistant/ HP website suggests but I can’t communicate with the printer and it goes into the same state after power cycle. I need a way to do a full reset somehow please.

If you need to reset your HP ENVY Photo 7134 printer, you can try the following steps:
Power off the printer: Press the Power button on the printer to turn it off. Wait for a few seconds to ensure it completely powers down.
Disconnect power source: Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and also from the power outlet. Leave it unplugged for about 1-2 minutes.
Reconnect power source: Plug the power cord back into the printer and the power outlet. Make sure the connection is secure.
Power on the printer: Press the Power button to turn on the printer. It should start the reset process and initialize its settings.

Jimmy

Thanks for the advice Jimmy. Unfortunately when pressing the power button to turn it off, it goes off and then comes straight back on again, so it seems impossible to power it completely down before pulling the cable/plug. I did the nearest thing I could (pulling the power in the split-second between it being off and on again, but that hasn’t changed anything. The only thing which was perhaps different was that it took longer (over an hour) to get past the initial screen to the error screen. I’d appreciate any other ideas please? Thanks. Mike

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are getting a B8ECDBCA error, I am glad to assist you.
You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
