HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer
I have read all the previous troubleshooting tips provided, but nothing has worked.  It seems that there is something to do when all else fails, but that information is delivered in private messages, so I can't see it.  Does anyone know how to get past the frozen startup screen problem?

Hi @DOSKI,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP ENVY Photo 7155 is stuck on the loading startup screen and previous troubleshooting steps haven’t helped. Let’s go through a few steps to try and get it past the frozen screen.

Power Cycle the Printer

Turn the printer off.

Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.

Wait 60–90 seconds to fully drain residual power.

Plug the power cord back in and turn the printer on.

Check for Obstructions

Open all access doors (cartridge area, rear access) to ensure nothing is blocking the printer’s internal components.

Make sure the cartridges are seated properly if installed.

Disconnect USB and Network Cables

If the printer is connected to a computer via USB, temporarily disconnect the cable.

If it is on a wired network, disconnect the Ethernet cable.

Try powering on the printer again.

Perform a Hard Reset

With the printer powered on, press and hold the Power button for 15–20 seconds until the printer turns off.

Wait a few seconds, then press the Power button again to turn it on.

Check for Firmware Recovery Mode

Some ENVY 7000 series printers can enter Firmware Recovery Mode automatically if the startup fails.

Watch the display during startup for any prompts or messages to restore firmware.

Remove Cartridges and Power On

Turn off the printer and remove all cartridges.

Power on the printer without cartridges installed.

If it passes the startup screen, turn it off, reinstall the cartridges, and try again.

I hope this helps.
