We had a power outage and now my laptop cannot find my wireless printer. I have tried unplugging it, but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Ketchgreg

The error code OX83C0000A on your HP Envy 4501 printer typically indicates a communication error. Following a power outage, this could be due to multiple reasons like network issues or printer settings being reset. Here are steps you can take to resolve this issue:

1. Power Cycle Your Printer

  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is still on.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the outlet and then reconnect it to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and see if the error persists.

2. Reset the Wireless Connection

  • Press the Wireless button on your printer's control panel.
  • Navigate to Settings, then Wireless Settings.
  • Perform a Wireless Network Test to reconnect your printer to your network.

3. Reboot Your Router

  • Unplug your router from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds.
  • Plug the router back in and wait for it to fully restart.
  • Ensure all devices including your printer and laptop reconnect to the network.

4. Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • On your computer, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your HP Envy 4501 printer and click the - button to remove it.
  • Go to HP's official drivers page and download the latest drivers for the HP Envy 4501.
  • Install the drivers and add your printer back to Printers & Scanners.

5. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

6. Reset Printer to Factory Settings

  • Open the Setup menu on your printer.
  • Navigate to Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Defaults.
  • Reconfigure your wireless settings after the reset.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please consider reaching out to HP support for further assistance with error code OX83C0000A.

I hope the above is helpful
