HP Envy 4520
iOS

Hello, i'm printing a return label from an email via iPhone/iOS (Zappos Return Print Label web link) through my WIFI to an HP Envy 4520.  Photos print fine in color, but return FedEx labels have the barcode printed just as an outline.  The black on the inside of each barcode line is empty.  When I try via Black & White, it is similar, but just less dark.  I printed at work from Outlook (which opens a Zappos "Print Return Label" web page and it works fine.

The printer seems to be printing simple emails in black & white as completely blank pages, as well.

Online the Instant Ink web page seems to suggest that the printer cartriges are fine.

@Bram1234, Welcome to HP Support Community!

As per the issue description, I see two things, the issue could either be with the settings or the print quality. To isolate the issue further, I would suggest you print a print quality diagnostic report and share the picture of the same with us for further assistance. Here is how you do it-

  1. Make sure to load the input tray with plain, white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

  3. Touch Tools.

  4. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Print Quality Report.

A Print Quality Diagnostic report prints.

Share the results. Keep me posted for further assistance.
