The default setting appears to be duplex printing for my new printer. I understand the paper saving this provides but there are documents I do not want this on...in fact most.
Is there a way to set single page as the default so I do not have to turn duplex off each time?
Thank you

Hi,
Follow these steps to disable two sided printing:
Open the file you would like to print. From the File menu select Print. The Print window appears.
NOTE: The Print window might be minimized. Click the Show Details button to see all available settings.
Click the settings drop down, it will usually appear as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.
Select Layout from the drop-down menu.
Set the Two-Sided option as Off.
You may save the settings as a preset by clicking Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset...
By doing so and completing the print job these settings will remain default till another preset will be used in the future.

To turn off the duplex printing options, you have to the screen which shows you the printer icon. Right click on that, and choose properites.
If it shows, printer properties, you may choose that. Then go to the layout tab, select appropriate option. In this window you would be able to find the options like, print on both sides / singl... please choose the appropriate option.

I have a mac and it keeps defaulting back to duplex. I have Micrsoft Word and have set the print job I just did to not use duplex but the next job used duplex. I have also installed the HP Pritner Utility App but can't see how to make it default to NON duplex? So frustraing.

Keeps defaulting to long-edge binding. Doesn't matter if I print a document in Word and then tell it not to print duplex, the next document will came back with long-edge binding duplex again. Surely there must be a way to turn this off?
