HP Envy 4527 how to print from USB

A very silly question but I cannot figure out how to print from USB on my HP Envy 4527. Do I need to buy an extra cable or did the cable come with the printer? I have so many cables at home - cannot tell which is for what... If I have to buy one, I see on amazon sell cable for envy 4524 and 5644. didn't see 4527...Can I buy those for envy 4524 or 5644? Will they be different? Thank you!

You will need a Printer USB cable like this.

When you install the software do not plug in the USB cable until told to do so by the software.

Do you mean to connect USB cable to printer ? Please use a cable which is similar to

Note: the box does not have USB cable, please check your stock otherwise you have to buy one.

Thanks sabretooth04, so I cannot use it straightaway after buying a cable?  How do I install the software then? The only reason I want to print from USB is that there is no internet where the printer is...

Well... after you download and install the Full Featured Software and Drivers from the HP web site here for whatever OS version you have.

eh...I do have HP software in my PC. But I thought using a USB to print, then I don't need my PC?!

You need to use computer ... to print, you can't print from printer itself except copy (similar to a photocopy machine).

Thanks BH.  I do have my PC with HP printer software installed. But there is no internet where the printer is... Does this work? I thought if you insert USB and you can control the printer from the screen?

You have to run Setup from your computer to let your printer know you are using USB cable to connect your printer. Given your computer runs Windows 7 or later, please

(a) Download the following software and save on your computer (remember where)

     http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL61220/mp-147799-1/EN4520_Full_WebPack_1122.exe

(b) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,

(c) Select USB,

(d) Only plug the cable in when the process asking for and OVOID to use USB 3.0 port,

(e) Follow on screen instructions.
